Finally a Complete Family Tree Graces Our Walls

With all of the interest in genealogy of the last couple of years, it makes perfect sense to “branch out” and make your own family tree. There are prefabricated ones that are lovely and professional looking, not to mention only call for the owner to insert names. What’s more is that the interest has opened up many new resources to research, and confirm relations. And should you be interested in finding help, there are even groups to join that will provide you with a ton of assistance.

For many years, my aunt was the chief genealogist in our family, and her efforts were much appreciated by us all. She was really into it, and it brought her much pleasure to compile the results she found. Unfortunately she passed away a few years ago, and the project remained incomplete. We have since had our family tree professionally researched, and had the information turned into a decorative piece of wall art. For gifts this year, we had a smaller version made for our extended family members, so they too can enjoy the knowledge. To say that the artwork is perfectly situated in our family room would be an understatement. I would say it is now our crowning jewel.
